Eau de Parfum Rose Barbare Guerlain
Rose Barbare, the Guerlain fragrance
For the beautiful L’Art et la Matière collection, the Guerlain rose is transformed again and becomes mysterious and burning, the better to bewitch us with its magical and ancestral powers.
When the rose becomes spicy under the talents of Francis Kurkdjian for Rose Barbare
According to Sylvaine Delacourte, who worked for a long time on the composition of wonderful perfumes at Guerlain, the two main essences used by the venerable house would be the rose of Damascus and the rose of May. However, Thierry Wasser wanted to have the most beautiful varieties of roses made for the needs of the new Guerlain fragrances in communal products himself, in order to create “vintages” of roses uniquely linked to the Guerlain house. The rose is therefore more than ever linked to the history of Guerlain and to its qualitative and so selective values.
By choosing to work with roses in a completely new way for Rose Barbare, Francis Kurkdjian, guest of honor for this new opus of Art and Material, offers us a Guerlain rose as wild as it is deliciously hot. A “barbaric” rose, far from the flowery-fruity sweets of Idylle but ultimately very close to the lovely Nahéma which was composed in 1979 by Jean-Paul Guerlain.
For Rose Barbare, the Guerlain rose is dressed in mysteries and voluptuousness while sometimes being honeyed and sometimes glaring. But above all never honeyed! So many faces are formed around this Barbarian Rose that it suits men for its power or women for its flowery voluptuousness. A rose that dresses the skin according to our desires or hers!
“A beautiful and rebellious Barbarian Rose, a proud Ottoman, which also offers the fresh and spontaneous sensuality of a honeyed chypre background. The indomitable with sensual finery stabs in the heart. »Guerlain for Rose Barbare.
Rose Barbare or the dark and stylized patchouli rose by Guerlain
Francis Kurkdjian, accustomed to powerful and original scents, was able to offer the venerable house of Guerlain an almost poisonous rose that changes according to the agreements between sweetness and strength, honeyed amber and woody strength.
Rose Barbare opens first with top notes of the most fruity and sweet of roses, the Bulgarian rose. A flowery sweetness which will nevertheless come to be reinforced by the power of the aldehydes to become forces… barbarians. At the heart, fenugreek, a rare spice in perfumery with a taste and scent of celery, punctuated with its aniseed freshness a Turkish rose that becomes a wild flower, a rebellious flower. A peach honey from the depths will give this wild heart a gourmet and oriental note that will whet our appetite to better be carried away in notes of undergrowth and patchouli. The mystery and depth of this Barbarian Rose will never cease to embrace us.
